Processor: INtel® Core ™2 Quad CPU Q3D0 2.5 GHz-2. It easily connects to a motherboard via PCI Express (X1) interface to add four USB 3.0 downstream. I don't know why it decided to act up right when I needed to export a project - why does it always have to be right before a deadline?!! - but any help would be greatly appreciated. The Rosewill RC-508 is a PCI Express to USB add-on card. Installing it in a PCIe 1.0 slot could cause the card to run at a reduced 2.5 GHz throughput. For optimal performance, install this card in a PCIe 2.0 slot. NOTE: The USB 3.0 PCIe x1 card has a PCIe 2.0 5 GHz interface. I went to the HP software website and downloaded the new BIOs and Drivers but that didn't work either. Insert the USB 3.0 PCIe x1 card into an available PCIe expansion slot in the computer. I've attempted to re-insert the card in the PCI slot (which had always fixed any recognition problems before) but this time no matter what I've done it always pops up again on startup. When I tell it to locate and find the driver it can't find it and tells me to insert the disc that came with my USB Controller. "Windows needs to install driver software for your Universal Serial bus (USB) Controller" It's been working fine since then (with the occasional blip) but just last night when I booted up my computer I got this message: A while back I bought a USB 3.0 extension for my comp that I installed in the PCI slot.
